Synopsis

An evocative, heart-warming story of unfulfilled dreams and unrequited love. Based on a short story by William J. Locke and the subsequent hit film starring Judi Dench and Maggie Smith.

Set in 1936, Ladies in Lavender tells the tale of two sisters who live in a close-knit Cornish fishing village. When a handsome young man is washed ashore, the sisters take him under their wing and nurse him back to health. However, the presence of the mysterious young man disrupts their peaceful lives and the community in which they live.

Adapted for the stage by Shaun McKenna from a screenplay by Charles Dance based on a short story by William J. Locke Directed by Rosemary Manjunath
